Teachings of Rev. Bill McDonald

The Seven Power Virtues

The Spiritual Life, Lived

Spiritual understanding becomes meaningful when it enters the way we actually live.

The Seven Power Virtues explore qualities that help bring spiritual awareness into our choices, relationships, words, habits, challenges, and everyday life.

These are not seven isolated ideals or levels to achieve. They are interconnected expressions of a more conscious spiritual life.

Humility · Loyalty · Courage · Positive Living · Truthfulness · Self-Control · Purity
Understanding Is Only the Beginning

Spiritual wisdom eventually has to enter our choices, our relationships, our speech, our habits, our response to difficulty, our treatment of others, and our inner life. That is where these seven qualities live.

The Seven Virtues

A Path, Not a Ladder

Seven Expressions of One Spiritual Life

Not Separate Boxes

Rev. Bill returns again and again to the same understanding: each virtue leads into the next, and each strengthens the others. Humility opens the door that Loyalty walks through with faithfulness, that Courage carries forward even when it costs something, that Positive Living sustains day by day, that Truthfulness keeps honest, that Self-Control brings into disciplined choice, and that Purity gathers back into wholeness. None of the seven stands alone.
